How to Make Fresh Pasta at Home

Pasta is a classic Italian dish, loved worldwide for its versatility and ease of preparation. Making fresh pasta at home is simple and cost-effective, and it can be served with a variety of sauces like white sauce, red sauce, or even meat and chicken. Below is a straightforward recipe for homemade pasta dough that you can easily prepare in your kitchen.
Cooking Time
60 minutes
Serves
4 people
Ingredients
300 grams of all-purpose flour
3 eggs
Salt (to taste)
Instructions
Prepare the Dough:

Place the flour on a clean surface and make a well in the center. Crack the eggs into the well and add a pinch of salt.
Mix the Ingredients:
Gradually mix the eggs and flour using a fork or your fingers, until the mixture starts to come together and form a dough. If you find any dry flour left over, add a few drops of water or olive oil to bring everything together.
Knead the Dough:
Once the dough starts to form, use your hands to knead it until it becomes smooth and elastic. If the dough feels too dry, you can add a tiny bit more water or oil, but be careful not to make it too sticky. Knead for about 5 minutes.
Rest the Dough:
Shape the dough into a ball and cover it with plastic wrap. Let it rest at room temperature for 10-15 minutes. This resting period allows the dough to become easier to work with.
Continue Kneading:
After resting, knead the dough again for about 5 minutes, stretching it to ensure it becomes soft, smooth, and elastic.
Final Rest:
Let the dough rest at room temperature for another 30 minutes to allow it to fully relax and become more pliable.
Cut the Pasta:
After resting, roll out the dough and cut it into the desired pasta shape using a pasta maker or by hand. You can make spaghetti, fettuccine, or any other shape you like!
Your fresh pasta is now ready to be cooked with your favorite sauce!
