Caramel Custard with Cream (Kreem Karamel Bel Qeshta)



Caramel custard (Kreem Karamel) is a beloved cold dessert, light on the stomach and delicious in taste, making it a favorite among both children and adults. Here's a version made with cream for an extra indulgent touch.

Ingredients:
Kreem Karamel (caramel custard mix): 2 packets
Milk: 4 cups
Cream: 1 cup
Sugar: 1 cup
Instructions:

Prepare the Custard:

In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the Kreem Karamel mix, milk, and cream. Stir the mixture well to combine.
Place the saucepan on medium heat and continue stirring until the mixture comes to a boil. Once it starts boiling, remove it from the heat.

Caramelize the Sugar:

In a separate pan, add the sugar over medium heat.
Stir continuously until the sugar melts and turns into a golden caramel. Be careful not to burn it.

Assemble the Dessert:

Pour the caramelized sugar into small round dessert cups, evenly coating the bottom.
Then, carefully pour the Kreem Karamel mixture on top of the caramel layer.

Chill:

Place the dessert cups in the refrigerator and allow them to cool and set for at least 2-3 hours, or until firm.

Serve:

To serve, gently flip the cups onto serving plates, letting the caramel sauce drizzle over the custard.
Serve chilled.
